Affiliate Disclosure

How BetterBroker makes money and our commitment to editorial independence. Full transparency on our affiliate relationships and FTC compliance.

How We Make Money

We believe in complete transparency about our business model and how we generate revenue.

Affiliate Commissions

BetterBroker earns affiliate commissions when users click through our links and open accounts with brokers. When you click on a "Visit Broker" button or link on our site, you may be directed to a broker's website through an affiliate tracking link. If you subsequently open an account and meet the broker's requirements, we may receive a commission from that broker.

What This Means for You

Zero cost to you: Affiliate commissions do not affect the price you pay for any broker's services. The commission is paid by the broker, not added to your costs.

No obligation: You are never required to use our affiliate links. You can visit any broker directly, and you'll receive the same service and pricing.

Our Commitment to Editorial Independence

Affiliate relationships never influence our ratings, reviews, or recommendations.

  • Ratings are never for sale. Our ratings are based entirely on our research methodology, testing, and objective criteria. Brokers cannot pay for higher ratings.
  • We review all brokers equally. Whether or not a broker has an affiliate program with us does not affect our decision to review them or how we rate them.
  • Honest pros and cons. We list both the advantages and disadvantages of every broker, regardless of our affiliate relationship status.
  • Editorial control remains with us. Brokers do not review or approve our content before publication. Our editorial team maintains complete independence.
  • Transparent methodology. We publish our full research and rating methodology so you can understand how we evaluate brokers.

FTC Compliance

We comply with Federal Trade Commission guidelines on endorsements and testimonials.

Material Connection Disclosure

In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255: "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising", we disclose that we have a material connection with some of the brokers reviewed on this website.

This material connection may include financial compensation in the form of affiliate commissions when users click on our links and complete qualifying actions (such as opening an account or making a deposit). This disclosure is made in the interest of full transparency with our users.

How Affiliate Links Work

Understanding the technical side of affiliate marketing and how it affects your experience.

Affiliate Links

Some links on our site include tracking parameters that identify referrals from BetterBroker. These links allow brokers to attribute new customers to our site and compensate us accordingly.

Your Privacy

Affiliate tracking uses standard industry practices (cookies and tracking pixels). We do not collect or share your personal information through these links. The broker you visit is responsible for their own privacy practices.

No Extra Cost

Using our affiliate links never increases your costs. Brokers pay us from their marketing budgets, not from additional fees charged to you. Your account terms remain identical whether you use our link or visit directly.

Supporting Our Work

By using our affiliate links when you decide to sign up with a broker, you help support the research, testing, and content creation that makes BetterBroker possible — at no cost to you.

Not All Brokers Have Affiliate Programs

We review and rate brokers regardless of whether they offer affiliate commissions.

Many brokers on our site do not have affiliate programs with BetterBroker. We review and rate these brokers using the same rigorous methodology as those with affiliate relationships. Our goal is to provide comprehensive coverage of the broker landscape, not just those who pay commissions.

If we recommend a broker without an affiliate program over one with an affiliate program, it's because we genuinely believe it's the better choice based on our evaluation criteria. Revenue considerations never override our commitment to providing honest, accurate information.

Questions About Our Disclosure Policy?

We're committed to transparency. If you have questions about our affiliate relationships or editorial policies, we'd be happy to discuss them.
